CartX ("we", "us") runs the online marketplace at cartx.co.in. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name and email address, either entered by you at sign-up or provided by Google when you choose "Sign in with Google" (we only receive your basic profile: name and email).
• Order details: delivery name, phone number, address and the items you order.
• Seller details: if you apply to sell, your shop name, address, PAN, GST number and PAN card image, used to verify your business.
• Technical data: basic logs (such as IP address) used for security and to keep the service running.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To process, deliver and support your orders, and to show sellers the sales of their own products.
• To verify and approve seller applications.
• To prevent fraud and abuse.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google we use your name and email address only to identify your CartX account. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it except as described below.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: the seller of an item you buy (your delivery details, to fulfil the order); our payment provider, Razorpay, which processes online payments (we never see or store your full card details); and authorities when the law requires it.

Retention and your choices

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed for orders, tax and legal records. You can ask us to correct or delete your account data at any time by emailing us.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, and traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
